How Many Carbs in a Margarita?

A standard margarita has only 16 grams of carbohydrates in it, which is less than half the amount of carbohydrates in a cup of blackberries or raisins. 

STEP ONE: CARB BREAKDOWN

The classic margarita recipe: – Tequila = 0 gram – Cointreau = 7 gram – Lime juice = 2.6 gram So as you can see, if you were to make the margarita according to the classic recipe, it would be 9.6 grams of carbs.

STEP TWO: HOW TO LIMIT THE CARBS

You want look at the ingredients. Tequila has no carbohydrates, but margarita mixers do.   Use lemon juice instead of lime juice, since there are 2.1 grams of carbs in lemon juice, to 2.6 grams of carbs in lime juice.

STEP THREE: SUGER SUBSTITUTES
